Welcome to G.E.A.R.S School of Motoring

Established in 1988, G.E.A.R.S School of Motoring offers a friendly, comprehensive driving experience with a genuine commitment to aim for a first-time pass with every pupil.
At G.E.A.R.S School of Motoring, your driving instructor will help you to gain the confidence you need at a pace that suits you. You will be helped to prepare for your theory and hazard recognition test, then guided towards passing your practical driving test. This will be achieved by using a structured training programme that fits the needs of each individual pupil and help you to learn at a quicker pace. Your course will be designed to match your specific needs and will be monitored at every stage. At all times, your instructor will aim to provide a courteous and professional service.

All training aides used in your tuition are recognised by the Department of Transport and the DSA.

New and nervous?

We welcome new and nervous drivers. If you are not sure about taking that first step, we can offer you a one off assessment lesson. This will give you the chance to get the feel of the car and allow you to get to know your instructor. Any questions you have will be answered and you won’t be pressured to carry on with lessons should you not wish to do so.

Progress packs

New drivers will be given an introduction pack on their first lesson. These packs will include progress charts, theory questions and answer sheets, information leaflets, cockpit drill papers, control lesson sheets, and practical manoeuvre papers. Also included will be vehicle safety and maintenance papers, test briefs & mock test papers.

All training aids used in your tuition are recognised by the Driving Standards Agency.
